Moving the House House before work started- photos that I took of the house before they arrived to begin work. Trimming the pecan trees- some of the pecan trees needed to be trimmed and 1 needed major work. Removing the chimneys- We had three chimneys: one was a double chimney. Beams going under the house- Steel beams to support the house. Crushing the septic tank- We're moving up to City water and sewer! Removing the back addition- This used to be a screen in porch! Removing the front porch- Putting up the supports after columns were taken down. Digging the trenches for the footer- This is where the house will move to. Pouring the concrete for the footer- We ordered 20 yards of concrete... it took 21 yards! Raising the house- Getting the house off the ground. Moving the house- Up, up and away! Views of the house after it was moved- This is where the house now sits! |
